A Mustang - one of many WW2 aeroplances at the museum of the Real Aeroplane Company at Breighton which offers fly-in facilities

Breighton Airfield

We are about 5 minutes drive from Breighton Airfield which is home to The Real Aeroplane Company. The airfield accepts visitors and it is extremely convenient if arriving at Skipwith Station by air. The airfield has a Museum which throws open its doors to the public during a handful of special event days held throughout the summer. A visit to the Real Aeroplane Museum makes for a truly memorable day out that everyone can enjoy. Situated on the edge of the Wolds beside the ambling River Derwent, close to the historic agricultural towns of Howden and Selby and within easy reach of the city of York, the area is steeped in history and additional interest. The majority of visitors to the Real Aeroplane Museum arrive by car, however, they are happy to receive visitors by air (details available on the web site).

A PA28 - one of the fleet at Sherburn Aero Club. The airfield offers great facilities for visitors by air.
